މަޖިލީހަށް ކުރިމަތިލާ އަނެއްބާވަތުގެ ވިޔަފާރިވެރިންނަކީ ވިޔަފާރީގެ ދާއިރާގައި ފޭއިލުވުމުން ނުވަތަ އެކަށީގެންވާ ކާމިޔާބީ ނުލިބުމުން މަޖިލީހަށް ހޮވެ އެ މަޤާމުގެ ނާޖާއިޒު ފައިދާ އާއި ނުފޫޒު ބޭނުންކޮށްގެން ތިމާގެ ވިޔަފާރި ކުރިއެރުވޭތޯ މަސައްކަތް ކުރާ މީހުންނެވެ. މިސާލަކަށް ދަންނަވާ ނަމަ ސ.އަތޮޅު ގެ ހުޅުމީދޫ ގޮނޑިއަށް ވާދަކުރާ ހަޒާޝް ހަމީދު އާއި، ރ.އަލިފުށި ދާއިރާ އަށް ކުރިމަތިލާ އަލީ ހަސަން މެން ފަދަ ބޭފުޅުން ހިމެނެއެވެ.
ވިޔަފާރިވެރިންނަށް ވޯޓު ދިނުމުން ނިކުންނާނެ ހިތި ނަތީޖާ އާއި މެދު ރަޢްޔިތުން ވަރަށް ފުންކޮށް ވިސްނަން ޖެހެއެވެ. ތިރީގައި މިވަނީ ވިޔަފާރިވެރިންނަށް ވޯޓު ނުދޭންވީ ސަބަބެވެ.
1. ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ބޭނުންވާ ޚިދުމަތް ސަރުކާރުން ފޯރުކޮށްދެނީ މުއްސަނދިން އަތުން ޓެކްސް ނަގާއި ގެންނެވެ. ޓެކްސް ނެގެނީ މަޖިލީހުން ފާސްކޮށްގެންނެވެ. ވިޔަފާރިވެރިން މަޖިލީހުގައި ތިބެ އެމީހުން އަތުން ޓެކްސް ނަގާ ގާނޫނެއް ފާހެއް ނުކުރާނެ ކަމާއި މެދު އެއްވެސް ޝައްކެތް ނެތެވެ. ދުނިޔޭގެ މާލީ ބޭންކް ނުވަތަ ވޯލްޑް ބޭންކް ގެ ދިރާސާ ތައް ދައްކާގޮތުން މުޅިދުނިޔޭގައި ވެސް ވިޔަފާރިވެރިންގެ އަތުން އެންމެ މަދުން ޓެކްސް ނަގާ ޤައުމަކީ ދިވެހިރާއްޖެއެވެ. މިހެން ވާންޖެހެނީ ސަރުކާރުގައި އާއި މަޖިލީހުގައި ވިޔަފާރިވެރިންނާއި ވިޔަފާރިވެރިންގެ ނުފޫޒު ބޮޑު ކަމުންނެވެ.
2. ޢާންމު ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ވިޔަފާރިކުރަން، ދަނޑުވެރިކަން ކުރަން، އޮޑިދޯނިފަހަރު ބައްނަން ނުވަތަ އެނޫންވެސް ކަންކަމުގައި އެންމެ ފަސް އަހަރަށް ސަރުކާރުން ބިން ދޫކުރާއިރު 25 އަހަރަށް ދޫކޮށްފައިވާ ރިސޯޓުތަކުގެ މުއްދަތު 50 އަހަރަށް އިތުރުކުރުމަށް މަޖިލީހުގައި ތިބި މަހުޖަނުންވަނީ ނިންމާފައެވެ. މިގޮތަށް ނިންމުމާއެކު މިއިން ކޮންމެ ރިސޯޓެއް އަގު ހަމަވަގުތުން ދެގުނަ އިތުރުވީއެވެ. މިއިން ރަޢްޔިތުންނަށް ކުރީ ކޮން ފައިދާ އެއް ތޯއެވެ؟ އެންމެ ކުޑަވެގެން ލީޒް އެގްރީމަންޓުގައިވާ ނިސްބަތުން ދިވެހިންނަށް ވަޒީފާވެސް ނުދެއެވެ.
4. ޖައުސާ ޖައުފަރަށް ސަރުކާރުން ދިން އުތުރުގެ މަސްވެރި ޒޯނުން މަސް ނުގަނެވިގެން އެތަކެއް ޓަން މަސް ހއ.ދިއްދޫ އޮފީހަށް އެޅުމުން ވެސް އެޒޯން ޖައުފަރު އަތުން ނުނެގުނީ އޭނާއަކީ މެންބަރަކަށްވީތީއެވެ. އެންމެ ފަހުން ޖައުފަރު އެގްރީމަންޓާއި ޚިލާފު ވުމުން ވެސް ސަރުކާރުން އެ ޒޯނު އޭނާގެ ކިބައިން ވަކިކުރީ އެތަކެއް މިލިޔަން ރުފިޔާ އޭނާއަށް ދިނުމަށް ފަހު އޭނާގެ ރުހުމުގައެވެ! މިއީތޯ އަޅުގަނޑުމެން ބޭނުންވާ ރަޢްޔިތުންގެ މަންދޫބުންނަކީ؟
5. އޭޑީކޭ ހޮސްޕިޓާ އެއްވެސް ކަހަލަ ބިޑަކާއި ނުލައި ނާޝިދަށް ކުރީގެ ރައީސު މައުމޫނު ދިނީ އޭނާއަކީ މެމްބަރަކަށްވީތީއެވެ. އެއިރު ނާޝިދު ޑީ.އާރު.ޕީ ގައި އުޅުމުން ނެވެ. ސަރުކާރަށް އެއިރު ތާއީދުވެސް ކުރީތީއެވެ. އެއިގެ ސަބަބުން އޭނާ އިތުރަށް މުއްސަނދިވަމުންދާއިރު ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ކުރާ ފައިދާއަކީ ކޮބައިތޯއެވެ؟ އެ ހޮސްޕިޓަލުގެ އިހުމާލުން ޅަދަރިންނާއި މައިން މަރުވާއިރުވެސް އެފަދަ މައްސަލަ އާއި މެދު ފިޔަވަޅެއް ނޭޅެނީ ނާޝިދަކީ މެންބަރަކަށް ވީތީއެއް ނޫންތޯއެވެ؟ ދުވާލަކު އެތަކެއް ލައްކަ ރުފިޔާ ފައިދާ ނަގާ މި ހޮސްޕިޓަލުން މިހާހިސާބަށް ތަމްރީނު ކުރީ ކިތައް ދިވެހި ޑޮކްޓަރުންނާއި ނަރުހުންތޯއެވެ؟ ތަން ފުރާ އެތިބީ ބޭރުގެ ގައުމުތަކުގެ ނަރުހުންނާއި ޑޮކްޓަރުން ނޫންތޯއެވެ؟
6. ގައްދޫ ޒާހިރުމެން، ލޮލީ ޖާބިރު މެން ކަހަަލަ ވިޔަފާރިވެރިން މަޖިލީހަށް ހޮވުމަށް ފަހު ބުނަނީ ތިމަންނަ އޮތްނާނީ ވޯޓު ގަނެލާފައެވެ. ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ކޮށްދޭންޖެހޭ ޚިދުމަތެއް ނޮއޮއްނާނޭ ކަމަށެވެ.
7. މެންބަރު މަހުޖަހުނުން އެމީހުންގެ މަގާމުގެ ނާޖާއިޒު ފައިދާ ނަގާއިގެން ބޭންކުތަކުގައި ހުންނަ ފައިސާކޮޅު ނަގާހުސްކޮށްލައެވެ. މިގޮތުން ވޭތުވެދިޔަ 5 އަހަރު ތެރޭގައި ބޭންކް އޮފް މޯލްޑިވްސް އިން ދޫކުރި %65 ލޯނު ދޫކޮށްފައި ވަނީ މަޖިލީހުގައި ހިމެނޭ އެންމެ ހަތަރު މެންބަރުން ނިސްބަތްވާ ކުންފުނި ތަކަށެވެ. މީގެ ތެރޭގައި ތްރީ.އޭ ގެ ހަމްޒާ މަޖިލީހުގައި އާއި ބޭންކް އޮފް މޯލްޑިވްސް ގެ ބޯޑު މެންބަރަކަށް ހުންނަވައިގެން އޭނާގެ ކުންފުންޏަށް ނެގި އެތަކެއް މިލިއަން ޑޮލަރު ހިމެނެއެވެ. މިގޮތުން ލޯނު ދިނުމުން އާންމުންނަށް ދޭކަށެއް ފައިސާއެއް ބޭންކަކު ނުހުރެވެ. ނަތީޖާއެއްގެ ގޮތުން އަމިއްލަ ވިޔަފާރިއެއް ކުރަން ނުވަތަ ބޯހިޔާވަހިކަން ހޯދަންއުޅޭ ނިކަމެތި ރައްޔިތުންނަކަށެއް ލޯނެއް ނުލިބެއެވެ.
8. ދުނިޔޭގެ އެއްވެސް ޤައުމެއްގައި ރައްޔިތުންގެ މަޖިލީހުގެ މެންބަރުންނަށް ރަތް ޕާސްޕޯޓު ދޫކޮށެއް ނޫޅެއެވެ. އެއީ އެމީހުންނަކީ ރައްޔިތުން އިންތިޚާބު ކުރާ ބަޔަކަށް ވާތީ، އެމީހުންގެ މައިގަނޑު ދަތުރުތައް ބިނާކުރަންޖެހޭނީ، ރައްޔިތުންނާ ބައްދަލުކުރަންކަމަށް ވާތީއެވެ. އެކަމަށްޓަކައި އަމިއްލަ ޤައުމުގައި ދަތުރު ކުރުމަށް ރަތް ޕާސްޕޯޓެއް ބޭނުމެއް ނުވާނެއެވެ. އެހެންނަމަވެސް މިހިނގާ މަޖިލީހުގެ މެންބަރުން އެންމެ ފުރަތަމަ ކުރެއްވި އެއްކަމަކީ ރަތް ޕާސްޕޯޓު ހޯއްދެވުމެވެ. މިގޮތުން މެންބަރުންނަށް ދޫކުރައްވާފައިވާ ރަތް ޕާސްޕޯޓު ގެ ނާޖާއިޒު ފައިދާ ނަންގަވައިގެން ބައެއް މެންބަރުން އަމިއްލަ ވިޔަފާރި މުދަލާއި އެނޫން ވެސް ސާމާނު ރާއްޖެއަށް އެތެރެކުރައްވަމުން ގެންދަވައެވެ. އަމިއްލަ އާއިލާއަށާއި ގާތްރަޙްމަތްތެރިންނަށް އަގު ބޮޑު މުދާތައް ޑިއުޓީ ނުދައްކަވާ އެތެރެކޮށްދެއްވާ ހެއްދެވުމުގައި ރަތްޕާސްޕޯޓުގެ ބޭނުން ކުރައްވައެވެ. އަދި ރަތް ޕާސްޕޯޓު ހޯދުމުގެ އެންމެ ބޮޑު ބޭނުމަކީ އެ ބޭފުޅުންގެ ވިޔަފާރިއަށް މަގުތަނަވަސް ކުރުމެވެ. ބަލާފާސް ކުރުމެއް ނެތި ރާއްޖެއާއި ރާއްޖެއިން ބޭރުގައި ދަތުރު ކުރުމުގެ ފުރުޞަތު ތަނަވަސް ކުރުމެވެ.

If you want to talk about other countries thats how it is seen. Just because the candidate you support doesnt happen to be a businessman, it doesnt mean that you should be making baseless claims towards Ilyas Labeeb and Hazash Hameed. did u know that some of the countries actually call for even larger representation of businessmen in the parliament.

ReplyDeleteI don't know what you can understand from the article. But as far as I am concerned, the article is trying to say that we should not leave our parliament to the hands of businessmen. I think there are many reasons to support this. Reason one is, when it comes to businessmen in the parliament, there comes something called conflict of interest. They might bring forward there business before the cry of the ordinary citizens. If anything which is in favour of the citizen, and against the businessmen (which happens a lot of the times) comes to the parliament floor, it is quite obvious they would vote to save their own business rather than speaking in the interest of citizens. For this reason, it is always advised, not only in the Maldives, but everywhere else in the world, to save the parliament from business tycoons.

For instance how does a human resource manager balance the interest of the company, manager corporate strategy and then at the same time act at the interest of employees? and yet, that is the very role of the manager to make sure they balance that.
ReplyDeleteIf in the past, some of them haven't been able to balance their conflict of interest, then im saying thats their problem,and you shouldn't be voting for them in particular. What I'm saying is it shouldn't be a fixed rule to say no to all businessmen. And this artcile has done a very poor job while trying to justify a very narrow-mined view by making baseless claims towards Ilyas Labeeb and Hazash Hameed this way.
Its like saying while getting dumped by your girlfriend or boyfriend for that matter, you say no to all straight people u come across and turn gay instead.
Just for the record, the largest proportion of parliamentarians in the UK have an occupational background of business compared to other professions.
